On Thursday, February 2, 2012, the Adopt-A-School Committee of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating Groundhog Job Shadow Day, a day dedicated to giving high school juniors and seniors from Jacksonville High School job-shadowing experiences. Job shadowing enables students to shadow a workplace mentor as he or she goes through a normal day on the job, providing an up close look at how the skills learned in school are put into action in the workplace.
