Taste of Jacksonville

The 14th Annual Taste of Jacksonville was a wonderful success in 2012; a total of $4,255.00 tickets were sold which is almost double compared to 2011.

This tasty event assisted with the funding of the with the annual Lighting of the Hazel Tilton Park, which took place immediately after the Christmas Parade.

A huge thank you goes out to each of the following: Taste of Jacksonville Committee for organizing the event, each restaurant and caterer that provided a “taste” for everyone to enjoy, the great Chef Demonstrations provided by: Chef Rick Neal & Chef Simon Webster, the wonderful entertainment provided by: Boogie Butt Productions and the Aztec Dancers. We would also like to thank the Jacksonville College students who helped during the event and clean up afterwards, Bacon Chevrolet and Bill McRae Ford for donating the trucks utilized outside, Kiwanis Club for donating the tea, and Jacksonville Citizen’s Police Academy for providing security.

Congratulations to the following business who received an award at this event: Best Presentation of Food goes to The Cookie Company, Best Decorated Booth goes to Super Gallo Mercado and Best Overall Taste of Food goes to Stacy’s BBQ for their delicious pulled pork.
